World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation

Pope Francis has introduced a World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation that will be celebrated annually on 1 September.

Care of Creation is inherently Franciscan and flows from the Scriptures: "All things came into being through Jesus Christ, and without him not one thing came into being." (John 1:3)

Loving God, may we honour You by taking care of your creation. We do this by honouring ourselves and others. We also honour You through being mindful of our use of energy, paper, water and other resources. In doing so we leave more for our sisters and brothers who have less. We make this prayer in Jesus' name. Amen.

The study of Religious Education is compulsory through Years 7-12

This cognitive element is essential in the College's commitment to handing on our faith tradition. At each year level, students are engaged in a rigorous exploration of topics suitable to their development and a systematic study of the beliefs, rituals, teachings and history of the Catholic Church as well as studying other faith traditions.

Students are invited to participate in various opportunities aimed at strengthening their personal relationship with God. These opportunities include whole school, year level and class Masses, through to quiet reflective adoration of the Eucharist prayer services.

Year level reflection days are held annually. We encourage students to explore their spiritual identity and reflect on how their relationships with others contribute to bringing God's reign closer.
