Secondary Catholic Sporting Association's (SCSA) Term One 2017 Results

It has been a big start to the SCSA calendar for our competing athletes. Students represented Ave Maria College in Swimming, Tennis and Indoor Cricket  tournaments this term.

On Wednesday, 8 March 2017 five dedicated schools competed in the SCSA Division 1 Tennis Tournament hosted by St Columba's at the Geelong Tennis Club. Everybody displayed great sportsmanship and played exceptionally well. Ave Maria College took second place in the Juniors and third in Intermediate.

On Monday, 16 March 2017 our Swimming team competed in the SCSA Swimming Carnival. On the back of last year's success, the team competed in a higher division. This neither deterred nor diminished the confidence of our squad. Congratulations to each competitor for their commitment to early morning training, team spirit and to those strong performers.

Lastly, on Monday 20, March the Junior Indoor Cricket team competed against six other schools in Box Hill. The squad of ten students had training enthusiastically over six sessions but most were newcomers. The team finished third in the tournament.

A huge congratulations to those students involved in all three tournaments for displaying excellent sportsmanship and contributing to a very successful term.
