Year 7 and 8 STEM Days

In Week 11, Year 7 (27 June) and Year 8 (26 June) students will participate in their first STEM Day. The students will have the opportunity to work in teams through a series of workshops with Ryan Evans, as seen on Channel 9’s LEGO Masters and LEGO Masters: Grand Masters. He will share his inspiring journey of grit, determination, creativity, teamwork and perseverance. Ryan will work with the students by challenging them to design some inspiring creations.

Year 9 Interdisciplinary Day

Year 9 students will have their first Interdisciplinary Day on 21 June. During this day, students will collaborate and participate in a range of hands-on activities with Year 9 students from St Bernard's College.  The activities are designed to encourage critical and creative thinking. The aim of the first day is to develop a broader perspective by fostering a comprehensive understanding of complex issues and encouraging creative problem-solving.

Year 9 2025 Subject Acceleration

In Year 9, students can apply to include a VCE Unit 1 and 2 subject within their Year 10 Academic Program for 2025. For a student to pursue this option, they must meet the minimum achievement pre-requisites for each subject, noted in the criteria section. Students who apply and are successful in their application to undertake a VCE Unit 1 and 2 study as part of their Year 10 program, will complete one less elective per semester in 2025. Subject acceleration is subject to timetabling. Applications for Unit 1 and 2 Subject Acceleration will open on 3 June and close 14 June 2024.

Year 10 and 11 Semester 1 Examinations

Year 11 exams will commence on Wednesday, 5 June 2024 and conclude Wednesday, 12 June 2024. Year 10 exams will commence on Thursday, 6 June 2024 and conclude Wednesday, 12 June 2024. Any student that is absent from any examination will be allocated a make-up session on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 June 2024, depending on the number of examinations missed. Examinations are compulsory for all Year 10 and 11 students and as a result there will be no timetabled Year 10 or 11 classes on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 June 2024.
