Youth Response Conference

We congratulate our Academic Leaders for organising Ave Maria College’s inaugural youth led and run conference, in particular Ellie Smith (Year 11 Academic Leader), Natasha Castello (Year 10 Academic Leader) and Dominique Venables (Year 8 Academic Leader) for leading the two days of activities.

The conference was held at Ave Maria College, where students from five schools from across Australia focussed on STEAM and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Delegates participated in a series of STEAM and design thinking activities that encouraged them to consider real-world solutions to issues in their local community and beyond.

Dr Sarah Richardson, Executive Director of the Asia Education Foundation worked with the students on how to best engage with others, not just in Australia, but across the world. Ryan Evans, Lego Master and creator of the Brickulum, used LEGO bricks to explore with students the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The conference was a great success, with students focussed on the evolution of Youth Response and how our schools can collaborate on STEAM based projects, with schools in the Asia Pacific region.

We look forward to continuing, and building upon, our partnership in 2024.

Subject Changes

All students from Year 8-11 were given the opportunity to make subject changes prior to the end of the year. All subject changes are now closed and finalised.

Edrolo

Prior to the commencement of the Senior Pathways Program, all students were provided an email with instructions on how you can access Edrolo for their confirmed 2024 program. Edrolo is available for 29 VCE subjects, with online video theory, video solutions, and exam-style questions to help students learn, revise and get assessment-ready. Students should be accessing this over the course of break to ensure to best prepare themselves for.
