The Ave Maria College Learning and Teaching Program is underpinned by our Curriculum and Learning Policy which fosters our belief that God is ‘the source of all good.’ Thus, the Ave Maria College community encourages our young women to develop the goodness in themselves and to share their God-given gifts, in living the Gospel values. This policy also “guides each young woman to develop as a whole person, striving for excellence in all her endeavours.”
In Year 7 – 9 students participate in a solid core curriculum. In Year 10, students pursue more individualized programs, their program containing a mix of core and elective studies, which can include Victoria Certificate of Education (VCE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) studies.
A comprehensive range of VCE and VET opportunities are offered at Years 11 and 12.
Additional programs are offered to support and extend classroom activities.
These include:
Year 7 – Orientation Day, Transition Day, Personal Development Day, Peer Support, Elders Mass
Year 8 – Wellbeing Day, Special Persons Mass
