As announced at last night’s 2023 Subject Selection Evening, Ave Maria College is excited to announce new VCE pathway options commencing next year.

As part of the College’s commitment to diversifying pathway options for our students, we are pleased to announce the introduction of the VCE Vocational Major (previously known as VCAL) and the Ave Tertiary Preparation Program from 2023 onwards.

VCE with the Vocational Major is a non-scored option for Year 11 students that provides greater flexibility, still allowing students to complete some VCE units to meet tertiary entrance requirements.

The Ave Tertiary Preparation Program, a joint Ave, St Bernard’s College and RMIT University offering for non-scored Year 12 students who would like a guaranteed pathway into tertiary studies at RMIT. This will involve completing VCE studies for 3-days per week at Ave and completing a Certificate IV at RMIT for 2-days per week.
