Ms Leonie Rushbrook

My  role at Ave Maria College is the Assistant Principal- Students and Engagement.
My passion is having all members of the College recognize that it is a well being that is able to learn. My role is to ensure that all students are able to experience a safe and nurturing environment where each young lady can actively engage in their learning. It is my hope that as students grow in their confidence of themselves and their interests that they attempt opportunities outside their comfort zone. Through this it is hoped that each young lady grows into a resilient and kind young adult.

Working with all staff I aim to ensure that students are known by name, that students respect and encourage each other and that they are Christ like in their actions and words. Through this, all students will have a strong foundation to experience success in their learning.

I have been fortunate to have served on Leadership teams across a wide variety of Catholic schools, including Christian Brother’s College, De La Salle College, Genazzano FCJ College and Emmanuel College. As a life long learner I have completed a Masters of Education and a Graduate Certificate in Catholic Studies.

I look forward to working with the staff, parents, guardians and the wider community as together we educate the young women in our care and help them navigate the best possible pathways in life.
