Ms Joanna Hammer
My role at Ave Maria College is Assistant Principal (Community and Growth). This is an exciting new role for the school, and I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to lead these two significant areas.
Key priorities of this role are leading the development of a school wide approach to professional learning and growth framework, which focuses on innovative practice and includes student voice. This includes leading the effective management and use of data as a tool to inform practice and drive professional learning and student learning programs that are future focused, innovative, reflect best practice and meet the needs of the students. Underpinning all that we do is the Ave Maria College Charter for Education. Based on contemporary academic research and drawing together our Faith, Learning and Wellbeing pillars, the Charter is the cornerstone of who we are and who we aspire to be. Leading the implementation and use of the Charter is both exciting and of great importance. This role also has oversight of the organisation of significant school and community events, with a focus on continuing to build community awareness of Ave Maria College as a school, and employer, of choice.
Having been at the College for many years I am privileged to be in a role that will allow me to engage with all members of the Ave and wider community.
